    Description

    A pair of Epaulets of a similar style as used by the Marines in the Civil War.
    Unknown usage or origin but probably Pre-Civil War, Civil War, or immediately following.
    In any event they are very attractive, present well, and are in very good to fine condition.
    Brass button surrounds, edge trimming, and crescents are all in undented fine condition.
    Top extensions have dark blue to black wool material which is unmothed.
    Undersides have a thin leather backing and removable pieces for the addition of drop fringe.
    Blue wool portions of bottom are mothed a bit.
