Civil War Era Union Army Cavarly Carbine Sling Swivel w/Snap Hook Assembly - Original - Very Nice Condition
Up for sale is a Civil War Era Union Army Cavarly Carbine Sling Swivel w/Snap Hook Assembly.  This swivel is the part of the Leather Carbine Sling that would attach to the saddle ring on the Sharps or Springfield Carbine.  The Swivel assembly is used, please see photos for condition.  No rust.  The snap hook work freely with strong spring tension.  No visible markings on the swivel assembly.  This is an Original Assembly, not one of the more commonly encountered modern reproductions.
These were used with the Sharps, Springfield Trapdoor and Krag Carbines
These were used by the US Cavalry from the mid-1830's up through the late 1880's.  No Civil War or Indian War Collection is complete without one.
This is a nice representative example that has ages well over it's 150+ year life.
